I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
