Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of reports of questionable actions towards young women.
The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
